About Dawn Bacchus
Dawn Bacchus is a sophisticated woman…From her Designer Collection owned and designed by Dawn Bacchus-Horan. The company was established in St Vincent and the Grenadines in 1978 and Trinidad and Tobago in 1979. Dawn was born in The Caribbean island St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). From a young age of 12, she had an eye for design and elegance. While attending High school, her first two designs won the title of “best evening gown” in the local Carnival Queen show, and Miss Universe (SVG) pageant. Dawn also won St. Vincent and the Grenadines Miss World in 1978 as Miss Photogenic and Miss Congeniality.
Her crown led her to Trinidad and Tobago where she fell in love with many cultures of the island encompassing the vibrancy of Color and Arts. She finds her deepest inspiration from her spiritual encounter with God as she experienced God’s Heart of True Love, Passion, Color, reflected in His Creation. Dawn applies the elements of humanity into all the aspects of her designs. Our Logo, the Heart, is the reflection of God’s love for humanity that transcends into the human heart, and the creativity that she pours into each design.
Dawn Bacchus produces clothing that people want to wear in everyday life that ignites passion, emotion, and freedom to be unique. Amazingly comfortable, yet stylish—these qualities are the goal of her designs. Alluring, too. She believes that adding a little touch of “drama” is essential even though she wants her clothing to be simple and wearable.
Dawn’s Designer Collection is well-known for elegant and exclusive wear for over 30 years in outstanding upscale boutiques and resorts throughout the Caribbean like the Four Seasons resort, Sandals resort, Marriott’s resort hotel, and the famous Cotton House boutique in Mustique Island SVG _known as “the land of the rich and famous” Her Designer Collection was established in the USA in 2007 where her designs are wholesaled to retailers throughout the USA and Canada. Dawn Bacchus is our brand.
Dawn Bacchus opened her first USA retail shop in November 2019 at the Wellington Greens Mall in Wellington Florida -Creating a shopping experience and mood transformation paralleled to none! Her goal is to include other specially selected designer clothing that complements her vibrancy, color, and feeling of love.
Her signature collections have a great appeal to all women. Dawn’s original creation of “Handpatique Art” is a unique combination of tie-dye and hand-painting, each piece done by the designer herself. A “must-have” for every woman. Her Designs fill a unique gap in the marketplace. Our fashion collection is made of all-natural fibers and suitable for all body types and all age groups; from the young at heart, to the more sophisticated lady who is not given to fads but has a highly selective purchasing habit. The fashions are Caribbean Essence classics and timeless, great for beachwear to weddings or formal gatherings. Each piece allows you to make a simple transition from Daytime Drama to Evening Elegance.
Dawn Bacchus has a degree of Bachelor of Science in Psychology ABA is and completing her Master of Industrial Organization Psychology at Purdue University Global. Her love for her spiritual work superseded her love for designing, she is an Interfaith Minister of Religion and believes humanity must transcend all religious, racial, national, and cultural divides as one family under God. Selfless service to humanity and caring for the universe is her priority. Some proceeds from our online sales will go to those less fortunate.
